Our Open Data Lab Jakarta has three open positions to be filled on a rolling basis.
We are looking for a Data Science Fellow to help us build on our existing open data projects across Southeast Asia. We are also looking for two interns, to act as a Data Specialist and an Engagement Specialist. All positions are based in Jakarta, Indonesia and open to Indonesian nationals or foreign nationals in possession of a work permit in Indonesia only.

Data Science Fellow
We are looking for a Data Science Fellow to will help us develop, test and evaluate models for exploring open data to tackle pressing social challenges across Indonesia. She or he will also support us to build evidence of the value of openly available government data for developing and emerging economies in the Southeast Asia region. The Fellowship is under the joint project of Making All Voices Count and the Jakarta Lab, and she or he will be placed within the Jakarta Lab for up to six months with all travel and salary covered.

Data Specialist Intern
We are looking for a Data Specialist Intern to contribute to the open data scanning, mapping and evidence-building efforts of the team. She or he will help develop visualisations, tools and content that will showcase the value and impact of open data. She or he will also largely provide support in planning, organising and implementing activities to foster a dynamic open data community in Jakarta and other cities in Indonesia.
The internship is for three months and we accept applications on a rolling basis. The internship periods are expected to start on September 2016, December 2016 and March 2017.

Engagement Specialist Intern
Our Engagement Specialist Intern will primarily support the overall planning and organisation of activities for our “Innovating for Open Cities” project. She or he will contribute to identifying engagement opportunities with new, as well as our existing civic groups and governance, partners. She or he will also help foster a community of open data enthusiasts, providing space for online collaboration within the community but also with other tech groups across the region.
The internship is for three months and we accept applications on a rolling basis. The internship periods are expected to start on September 2016, December 2016 and March 2017.
