Do you have what it takes to create innovative tools? Are you interested in solving social challenges using open data? Then join us!
There are only a few days left to go to apply for the Open Data Innovation Week, a joint project of the World Wide Web Foundation’s Open Data Lab Jakarta and Goethe-Institut Indonesien!
Our goal? To bring together innovators and data experts from across the Asia-Pacific region to build a box of tools and methods that will help improve the design, practice and implementation of open data initiatives aiming to help solve the region’s key political, economic, and social problems.
How will we do this? Throughout the event, the participants – including us! – will collectively co-create, iterate and share tools, methods and experiences for open data and-or innovation. At the same time, we aim for the attendees to learn from each other and effectively build a network of actors engaged in the wider innovation, tech and data space.
When? The event is from 22 to 25 November 2016, but the Call for Tools closes after the 16th of September.
Where? The event will take place in Jakarta, Indonesia. If you’re a selected participant but not from the city, don’t worry, we’ll fly you in and cover your stay!
How can you participate? You can learn more about the event and the Call for Tools here, or directly apply here.
After the conclusion of the event, we will publish all tools openly for anyone to use and build upon. If you have any questions or would like to know more about the event, you can get in touch with Denise at denise@webfoundation.org.
