Data Scientist
At the Jakarta Lab, we’re looking to add another Data Scientist to our team, to help us build on our existing open data projects across Southeast Asia. You will contribute to the scanning and mapping of publicly available data sets in Indonesia and draw findings, insights and conclusions from these, among other exciting tasks. You will also provide mentorship and technical assistance to social innovators involved in our Innovating for Open Cities project, and conduct tech and data trainings to a broader range of audience. Finally, together with the rest of the Jakarta Lab team, you’ll be knee-deep in creative activities such as design workshops, data dives and community meet ups that would foster the growing open data community in Jakarta and across Indonesia.
This role is under the joint project of Making All Voices Count and the Jakarta Lab, and you will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia and must therefore speak the local language fluently. The position is open to Indonesian nationals or foreign nationals in possession of a work permit in Indonesia.
Interested? Please see the job description for full details and email your CV and a short covering letter to info@labs.webfoundation.org with ‘Data Scientist’ in the subject line.
