A Sharing and Gathering Event for Open Data Enthusiasts in Jakarta<\/h3>\n

This year, Open Data Day takes place on the 5th of March – but we\u2019re celebrating it ahead with activities rolling the whole day on Friday, 4 March. Following the yearly theme of \u2018Open Data + You + Your Community + Your Timezone = Around the World<\/a>\u2019, we\u2019re partnering with other organisations and data experts to exchange experiences, insights, and practices that have helped – successfully! – push open data to the limelight in Indonesia. The event takes place from 8.30 to 17.30 in our brand new office located at Jl. Kudus 3, Menteng, Jakarta 10310<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Aside from the Jakarta Lab, members of Center for Innovation Policy and Governance<\/a>, Data Science Indonesia<\/a>, HOT OSM<\/a>, Making All Voices Count<\/a>, Perludem<\/a>, Publish What You Pay<\/a>,\u00a0Pulse Lab Jakarta<\/a>, media outlet Tempo<\/a>, the World Bank<\/a>, and several others will be attendance. Topics to be covered include \u201cWhat are effective open data tools?\u201d, \u201cHow are civic tech events (like Hackathons<\/i>) created?\u201d, \u201cHow is data used for journalism or storytelling?\u201d, and other exciting ones. This year, we\u2019re adopting a \u2018free\u2019 format, where attendees could simply hop in and out of the talks and workshops that interest them, or stay the day.<\/p>\n
