Join Nnenna, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/theodi.org\/\">ODI<\/a>\u2019s Jeni Tennison, and others to discuss how the open data movement can move forward.<\/p>\n<p><b>11:00 |\u00a0<\/b><a href=\"http:\/\/sched.co\/FPpB\"><b>The state of open data<\/b><\/a><br \/>\nAna and Miko will join this panel to discuss the State of Open Data \u2014 a research project taking stock of the progress made on open data 10 years after the movement began.<\/p>\n<p><b>14:00 |\u00a0<\/b><a href=\"http:\/\/sched.co\/Fng8\"><b>Is open data working for women<\/b><\/a><br \/>\nJoin Ana, Nnenna and Miko for a collaborative discussion about how open data can be better used to support women around the globe. They\u2019ll share the results of a recent Web Foundation report:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/webfoundation.org\/research\/datawomen\/\"><i>Is open data working for women in Africa?<\/i><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>15:00 |\u00a0<\/b><a href=\"http:\/\/sched.co\/FPpY\"><b>Open Washing<\/b><\/a><br \/>\nAna and Oscar Montiel from OKI will talk about the difference between true openness and \u2018open washing\u2019 \u2014 where an institution\u2019s claim to openness is undermined by its actions.<\/p>\n<p><b>16:00 |\u00a0<\/b><b><a href=\"http:\/\/sched.co\/FPpg\">Imagining the future of open data<\/a><br \/>\n<\/b>Juan will join this session to imagine what the future of open data holds. Join Miko and OKI Finland\u2019s Teemu Ropponen to talk about how we can put people back at the center of this data revolution.<\/p>\n<p><b>11:00 |\u00a0<\/b><a href=\"http:\/\/sched.co\/FPpz\"><b>Putting open data measurements to use<\/b><\/a><br \/>\nMeasurement matters. Not only does it quantify performance, it can change the behaviour of those being measured. Ana will join this discussion about existing open data measurement tools and how the landscape can be improved.<\/p>\n<p><b>12:00 |\u00a0<\/b><a href=\"http:\/\/sched.co\/FPq1\"><b>The importance of data governance<\/b><\/a><br \/>\nCarlos will join this panel about data governance, exploring how best to improve the way governments are creating, managing, and using open data across departments and agencies.<\/p>\n<p><b>12:00 |\u00a0<\/b><a href=\"http:\/\/sched.co\/FPq2\"><b>Open Data in the Global South<\/b><\/a><br \/>\nJoin Miko and others from across Asia, Africa, and Latin America, who will share their experiences building open data ecosystems in the Global South.
