OpenDataDay_Blue

A Sharing and Gathering Event for Open Data Enthusiasts in Jakarta

This year, Open Data Day takes place on the 5th of March – but we’re celebrating it ahead with activities rolling the whole day on Friday, 4 March. Following the yearly theme of ‘Open Data + You + Your Community + Your Timezone = Around the World’, we’re partnering with other organisations and data experts to exchange experiences, insights, and practices that have helped – successfully! – push open data to the limelight in Indonesia. The event takes place from 8.30 to 17.30 in our brand new office located at Jl. Kudus 3, Menteng, Jakarta 10310.

Aside from the Jakarta Lab, members of Center for Innovation Policy and Governance, Data Science Indonesia, HOT OSM, Making All Voices Count, Perludem, Publish What You Pay, Pulse Lab Jakarta, media outlet Tempo, the World Bank, and several others will be attendance. Topics to be covered include “What are effective open data tools?”, “How are civic tech events (like Hackathons) created?”, “How is data used for journalism or storytelling?”, and other exciting ones. This year, we’re adopting a ‘free’ format, where attendees could simply hop in and out of the talks and workshops that interest them, or stay the day.

To see the full event agenda, scroll below. To register for the event, visit our Eventbrite page, or send an email to antya@jakarta.labs.webfoundation.org with your inquiries. To keep track of our Open Data Day activities, follow us on Twitter @ODLabJkt.

See you there!

Unfortunately I only just read about the Open Data event today (March 4) and it’s almost over, so I guess I will have to wait for another one. Please add me to a mailing list so that I can be notified of future events. Thank you.
